How much does a lawyer cost?

Our Compensation: Fair and Legally Regulated

When billing for our services, we aim for full transparency. Unless an individual fee agreement (e.g., hourly rate) is expressly made, our billing is strictly based on the Lawyers' Compensation Act. The amount of the fees is legally binding and based on the respective value of the subject or dispute of your matter.

Will my legal expenses insurance cover the costs?

In many cases, legal protection insurance covers the costs of legal representation. Upon request, we will check the coverage confirmation for you.

5. What should I do after a traffic accident?

Instant To-Do List

Stay calm and secure the accident scene (hazard lights, high-visibility vest, warning triangle).
Call emergency services (112) if there are injuries.
Secure evidence: Photograph the accident scene, all damages, and the license plates of the vehicles involved. Call the police.
Contact Information: Note down the names, addresses, insurance details of those involved, and the names of witnesses.
Do Not Admit Fault: Do not make any statements regarding fault at the scene and do not sign any admission of liability.
See a Doctor Immediately: If you experience pain (e.g. whiplash), seek medical attention immediately and have your injuries documented.

6. Why should I go to a lawyer immediately after an accident?

The opposing insurance company is a commercial enterprise and aims to minimize payouts. A specialist lawyer for traffic law defends against unjustified reductions and enforces your full claim for damages, compensation for pain and suffering, loss of use, and rental car.

Do not speak with the opposing insurance company or allow their adjusters to pressure you. Direct all communication to your attorney. If you were at fault for the accident, your own legal insurance will cover the costs of legal counsel.

When is an objection to a fine notice particularly worthwhile?

Form error The penalty notice contains incorrect data (e.g., wrong date, swapped names, or erroneous offense numbers).
Measurement error: Common sources of error in speeding or red-light violations. For example, if the measuring device was not properly calibrated or the personnel were insufficiently trained.
Unclear driving characteristic: If the speed camera photo is unrecognizable or you can prove that you were not driving the vehicle at the time of the offense (e.g., in case of theft or sale).
Statute of limitations The offense occurred more than three months ago, and you have not previously received a notice to appear.
Driving ban threatens When a driver's license is at stake, a lawyer can often negotiate to have a driving ban converted into a higher fine.

8. Should I testify if summoned by the police?

Before you make any statements to the police or investigative authorities, you should seek legal advice. It is often advisable to review the investigation file first.
